Black Kumihimo Braid Necklace

This beautiful black necklace was made using the ancient Japanese art of kumihimo braiding. 

The kumihimo braid is a textured twisted spiral pattern made with two different sizes of black beads.  The larger beads are black drop beads and the smaller beads are Black Matte Japanese seed beads. 

The necklace was finished with decorative silver plated cones and a decorative sun ray pattern toggle clasp that measures 1.25 inches in diameter.  The clasp also serves as the focal point of the necklace if worn in front.    The necklace measures 21.75 inches long and goes perfectly well with silver earrings.  It is a simple necklace that can be worn to any occasion.
