Sodalite Kumihimo Necklace

The strand of this beautiful necklace was made using the ancient Japanese art of kumihimo braiding. 

The kumihimo braid is a textured twisted spiral pattern made with two different sizes of Japanese seed beads.  The larger beads are in Opaque Luster Light Beige color and the smaller beads are in Matte Silver Lined Capri Blue color.  The focal point of this necklace is a collection of curvy quadrilateral shaped Sodalite beads with various shades of blue and cream colored veins.  They range in size from .75 to 1.25 inches long.

 The necklace was finished with decorative silver plated bead cones and clasp and measures 17.25 inches long.  It goes perfectly well with silver earrings and is a great statement necklace to wear for any occasion.
